The Origin
Casinos Austria opened its tenth casino in Linz on 12 March 1982. In 1995 the popular venue and tourist magnet was expanded to include the Jackpot Casino, which opens its doors every day beginning at 11.00.
Casino Linz is not only a place for upscale gaming, but because of its beautiful ambience is also a popular location for an evening of entertainment. As a result of its exquisite gastronomical offers and a series of attractive events, for locals as well as for international guests the provincial capital is unthinkable without Casino Linz. The event segment was further expanded in 1997 with the opening in 1997 of a 200m² event hall, the Casineum.
For the occasion of its 25-year anniversary Casino Linz underwent a major refurbishment. Since then Casino Linz has shone resplendent in its exclusive, modern ambience.
Numerous cultural, sports and tourism-related promotions initiated by Casinos Austria or Casino Linz have been an impetus for making Linz and its range of recreational offers even more attractive. The casino is one of the biggest tourist operations in the city.
