Marco Meloni won at the final table

More than 800 players from over 30 nations were at Casino Seefeld and provided for over € 1,000,000 in prize money. With 192 players, the main event of the CAPT Seefeld on Saturday, 23 January, showed an impressive increase in the number of participants. Marco Meloni (GER) won Sunday at the final table and took € 96,680 home with him; second place and € 68,580 were won by Ronald Zapantis (AUS), with Harry Casagrande winning third place and € 48,150.

Spontaneous Help for Haiti

The participants in the CAPT at Casino Seefeld made a remarkable gesture. A wave of willingness to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti developed out of a spontaneous idea of several players. The presentation of a donation check took place on Sunday before the grand finale. Red Cross Tyrol President Dr. Reinhard Neumayr made a special trip to Casino Seefeld in order to accept the respectable sum of € 7.777,- in person from Ernst Hubmann, the director of the Casino Seefeld.
