Casinos Austria initiates a new barrier-free offer at the Burgtheater

As part of the pilot project, a programme booklet for the acclaimed production of “The Magic Flute” is now available for visually impaired and blind people, in Braille and free of charge.

“The Magic Flute”, a dark, gloomy interpretation of Mozart’s world-famous opera from the lost world of vaudeville and the Prater street theatre, is currently being performed at the Burgtheater. As a long-standing main sponsor, Casinos Austria, together with the Burgtheater and in cooperation with the Braille Centre of the Federal Institute for the Blind in Vienna, has now created a new barrier-free offer. As part of the pilot project, a programme booklet for the acclaimed production of “The Magic Flute” is now available for visually impaired and blind people, in Braille and free of charge.

In addition, a separate live audio description will be offered for the performance of “The Magic Flute” at the Burgtheater on January 15. Visitors who would like to take advantage of this offer can register for this performance directly with the Hilfsgemeinschaft der Blinden und Sehschwachen Österreichs (Austrian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired), a limited number of tickets in the best categories are available for € 12.
