Schnapsen is still probably Austria's most popular card game. That’s why Casino Velden decided years ago to invite “schnapsen” fans to take their game from the pub table to an “away game” in our casino's gaming room. The success of our previous schnapsen events has shown that this was a good idea.
On Sunday, February 26 it’s that time again, starting at 2:00 pm. It’s not just about red and black as it is at the roulette table, but about diamonds, hearts, spades and clubs. In contrast to the number 21 in Black Jack, in schnapsen 66 is the decisive number – once you reach that number, you win the game.
In the competition for the most “Stiche”, participants can look forward to attractive prizes: a prize pool of around 7,000 euros is expected.
The entry fee is 70 euros, which corresponds to five “lives”. The tournament is played using a knock-out system. A special schnapser bonus will also be offered: for 27 euros, guests get welcome chips or a Spiel Card worth 30 euros as well as a ticket for the raffle. Three chip prizes worth 70, 140 and 210 euros will be played.
Registration on the day of the event from 1:00 pm. Information can be obtained via tel. no. 04274 / 2064 220, daily from 10:00 am. No admission to the casino under the age of 18, in accordance with Casinos Austria’s visiting and gaming regulations. Official photo ID is required for admission.
