From February 20 to March 3, Casino Seefeld was the first CAPT venue of the year and a hot spot for poker fans. This year’s Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) got the new poker year off to a successful start with an impressive prize pool of over €2,000,000 and several records regarding the numbers of participants.
After 13 days of tournaments and a total of 29 top-class poker tournaments, CAPT’s successful position includes over 3,500 entries and strong international participation (including Jessica Teusl, poker world champion and three-time European champion). In addition to the Main Event (buy-in: €2,200) with an impressive 359 entries, the €550 NLH Snow Festival with 644 entries, the €1,100 NLH Alpine Classic with 182 entries and the €3,300 NLH Highlander (91 entries) were also extremely popular. Given all this, CAPT Seefeld once again registered a record number of participants this year. In the exciting final round of the Main Event, around 16 nations battled it out for a sensational prize pool of 718,000 euros. Colombian player Farid Jattin secured the victory, his triumph earning him prize money totalling €120,000.

Casinos Austria’s twelve casinos are always popular venues for live events. The Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) is one of the highlights. The second stop of this year’s CAPT will be at Casino Innsbruck from March 12. In addition to the three-day main event, poker enthusiasts can expect a full tournament schedule with 19 tournaments and various buy-ins starting at €60 and going up to €550. There are also numerous satellite events, a deep stack tournament and, of course, pot limit Omaha tournaments. Even if the focus is on the tournaments, poker cash games are offered in parallel, starting at a 1/3 euro limit, which means there is something for everyone’s taste and you’re sure you’ll never be bored during the 12 days.
The tournament series will then continue throughout Austria until the final round in Casino Baden at the end of November, for the first time with the guaranteed CAPT MILLION 2024. All information can be found at casinos.at.
The CAPT tournaments are a point of fascination even for die-hard tournament participants: the locations are unique, and each individual venue has its own exclusive flair, and let’s not forget the quality of the game management and experience in hosting major international events. The CAPT venues are popular fixtures in the poker community’s tournament calendar, and that’s not just due to the generous prize money, even though this year, for the first time in the history of the CAPT, there is a prize money guarantee of €1,000,000 for the final at Casino Baden. The sense of tradition, hospitality and high level of seriousness are also highly appreciated.
As in previous years, Casinos Austria is expecting sold-out tournaments and cash game action at all limit levels. The expected prize money for the entire event is €1,500,000. The international field of participants will once again include all the local poker celebrities.
