2023 Casino Cup goes to Lower Austria

With the support of show patron Nina Hartmann, ASK Bad Fischau-Brunn won the thrilling ball-in show on PULS 4 and can celebrate its triumph at a football party worth 20,000 euros.

Many a fan in the stadium can only dream of having so much fun and excitement! The Casino Cup, which was launched by Casinos Austria and PULS 4 last year, took place on the last two evenings. Viewers on PULS 4 and Austria’s free SuperStreamer JOYN were treated to a two-part ball-in show, which this year once again featured extremely creative challenges from the world of football and casino chips.

The SC Landskron women’s team from Carinthia, with cabaret artist Paulus von Dr. Bohl as their celebrity sponsor, celebrated a start-to-finish victory over USK St. Koloman from Salzburg in the first semi-final, supported by musician Thorstein Einarsson. Shortly afterwards, ASK Bad Fischau-Brunn qualified for the final against the Vienna-based hobby club SFC Yumentus with cabaret artist Angelika Niedetzky as their celebrity sponsor.

In the final, tasks such as “Breathtaking” and “Scene Change” once again challenged the contestants’ brains and skills. SC Landskron’s initially comfortable lead made another female upset at the Casino Cup a clear possibility – the women’s team from SC St. Veit had triumphed in 2022. Then the tide turned with “Autoball”, where actress Nina Hartmann, the celebrity sponsor of ASK Bad Fischau-Brunn from Lower Austria, demonstrated her talent for scoring goals on the football pitch using remote-controlled model cars.

The final heads-up poker duel, which brought real casino flair to the studio, was a thrilling affair. ASK Bad Fischau-Brunn’s team captain Fabian refused to give up the lead, however, and in the end a three-of-a-kind landed the team a win. The team erupted in wild cheering as they could now look forward to the Casino Cup main prize: a football party worth 20,000 euros. Casinos Austria Managing Director Thomas Lichtblau congratulated and presented the trophy to the team captain.

Once again, this year’s Casino Cup brought together many factors to create an all-round successful event: four teams that put their hearts and souls into the competition; the celebrity sponsors, who clearly enjoyed themselves; Sasa Schwarzjirg, who moderated the show like an absolute pro; and the commentator duo Andy Marek and Alex Nausner, who injected an extra dose of humour. Two Casinos Austria croupiers ensured top-class professionalism at the gaming tables where they demonstrated their skills and expertise.

The 2023 Casino Cup Show confirms the successful teamwork between PULS 4 and Casinos Austria and is available to watch on JOYN. The double episode will be repeated on ProSieben Austria on January 2, 2024 at 8:15 pm.
