The Congress Center Baden (CCB) has maintained a well-deserved reputation as the leading event organiser in the region over many years. Performances by renowned artists, B2B and B2C events, large conventions or company celebrations – they have all found a perfect venue in these four halls spanning three levels. Over 200 events a year benefit from the perfect symbiosis of historical charm and state-of-the-art technical facilities.
Since mid-February, the Congress Centre Baden has been able to claim yet another advantage. The Austrian Ecolabel is the most important seal of quality in Austria for a high standard of ecologically sustainable management. This high quality standard applies to our own events as well as to hosting external events.
The Ecolabel is proof of the CCB’s efforts to keep the environmental impact of its events to a minimum – from the detailed organisation to the technical execution. Seasonal and regional suppliers are favoured in all areas, and we have switched to ecological procurement for all stationery needs. The CCB specifically advertises rail-combination tickets for environmentally friendly travel. A recently commissioned photovoltaic system increases the proportional share of electricity from renewable energy sources.
Still, the Congress Center Baden management are hardly content to rest on their laurels; they want to continue to integrate sustainability measures and constantly improve the technical facilities. More e-charging points will be set up, in addition to the six currently available in the garage. In future, energy-saving LED lights will be used across all facilities. During events, the use of environmentally friendly containers for food to eat on the go will help to reduce food waste.
The Ecolabel confirms that the Congress Center Baden sees excellent hospitality and environmentally conscious behaviour as going hand in hand, which also means added value for customers and partners.
