Once again, the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group has successfully completed its latest recertification audits. In multiple audit cycles, starting in March of 2026, the Group’s key management systems have been thoroughly reviewed by external auditors – with the clear result that all audits were completed without any non-conformities.
Among other things, the audits covered the Compliance Management System, Corporate Social Responsibility measures, Responsible Gaming and anti-corruption measures. In the Responsible Gaming area, a compliance check regarding the standards set by the European Casino Association and the European Lotteries as well as the monitoring audit by the Global Gambling Guidance Group were successfully completed as part of the joint audit with the Compliance department. This also confirmed that the ongoing development and improvement of Responsible Gaming measures are being implemented on a consistent basis. The audits took place at the company’s headquarters as well as at the casinos in Linz, Baden, Salzburg, Kitzbühel and Graz, and the WINWIN outlets in St. Pölten, Hallein and Vienna.
During the audits, the Group was recognised for maintaining a consistent, exceptionally high standard in its management systems. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that maintaining this standard over the long term is an achievement that few organisations ever manage to achieve. This feedback highlights the ongoing development and the high level of maturity of systems that were implemented over the course of many years.
Focus on trust and social responsibility
Erwin van Lambaart, Director General of the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group, had this to say: “This latest successful recertification means far more to us than just a formal confirmation. It demonstrates that we consistently meet our responsibilities towards players, employees as well as society as a whole. Transparency and lasting trust are crucial, particularly when it comes to sensitive areas such as Responsible Gaming and Compliance. The fact that this trust is confirmed by independent auditors on a regular basis sends a strong signal – both internally and externally.”
A confirmation of stability, security and economic performance
Martin Škopek, Director of the Board of Casinos Austria AG and Österreichische Lotterien GmbH, also highlights the aspects of economic viability as well as security: “The results of the recertification audits show that our management systems not only meet the necessary formal requirements, but are operated to a consistent, highly professional standard. This is a key factor in ensuring economic reliability, efficient processes and effective risk management. The proven quality of our systems builds trust among partners, public authorities and stakeholders.”
Audits as an integral part of sustainable corporate governance
These regular recertification and surveillance audits are an essential part of our Group’s governance structure, and they ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, enhance transparency and promote the continuous improvement of our internal processes.
By successfully completing these 2026 audits, the Casinos Austria and Austrian Lotteries Group reaffirms its commitment to meeting the highest standards in the areas of security, responsibility and compliance on a long-term basis in order to create a stable foundation for future developments.
We want to express our special gratitude to all our employees, whose dedication and professionalism have played a key role in our success.
